How To Keep Your Horse Comfortable In The Stable: To keep your horse comfortable in the stable always make sure there are no sharp nails sticking out of the walls so they can't cut themselves. I suggest using shavings. Straw is alright but horses can easily mistake it for hay and choke on it. Try using a fluffy kind of shaving, it's more absorbent. Always make sure your horse is fed at the same time every day. Don't mix them up; it's very confusing to them. Try to get it right in the same hour at least. Make sure there's plenty of water when you're not riding, horses need to stay hydrated. Try not to give them too much to eat, they become bloated, and if you turn them out in the pasture right after you just gave them hay, there's a strong possibility they will colic.
How To Keep Your Horse Comfortable While Riding: While riding make sure you have the proper equipment. Don't mix match the tack. Say a English saddle pad and bridle on a Western saddle. Always make sure you have the right size of tack. If it's too tight this may force the horse to rear or buck. Putting your life in danger. Same with too big of tack, you may easily fall off, if it does. It's not safe. If your horse is acting up, make sure everything is ok with him before forcing any crop or leg on him. Remember, stomp of the front hoof usually means the horse is impatient or hungry, the back foot means a fly. Make sure there are no cuts or scratches on the horse that could get infected by dirt-Especially around the girth area. Never use force as your main solution. You must work with the horse, not against it.
