The town is going through continuous, and sometimes dramatic, changes. Changes are sometimes unpleasant; they are, however, made with the intent of helping the town grow in a healthy way. Recently it has been decided that only horses of level five and above are allowed to breed. The reasons are obvious to the citizens that constantly work on AVH. Simply put there are too many 'junk horses' and this change is an aid to prevent this. Another change is that only citizens of level five and above will be allowed to become vets. This is to protect both the newer residents and the more experienced residents. New inhabitants are protected because they will no longer be allowed to spend all their coins on joining vets, and the experienced are protected because the hired vets will be only those who at least have some knowledge of how the town runs. Mentors are very important to this town. There have been hoards of new citizens that join our town and then leave, never to return. Some of the reasons may be because they don't like it here; find the town difficult to prosper in, or don't have any friends. It cannot be forced upon someone to like our community, but new citizens should stay longer. That is why mentors are so important. The more advanced citizens should realize that this community must grow, and the only way to grow is to make new people stay. People should try to help one another in little ways. Most new people will not read rules of the town and will not read the Hints of the town. They might, however, read a friendly message, and that "Hello" could count more than all the features of this town. Whether or not citizens decide to be mentors, they should still be aware, and be nice to, the newest individuals of AVH. Rules and common sense. There is one major rule that every citizen of the town must obey, and that is the rule of common sense. Respect the other citizens and the fact that they are different. The lack of common sense has many forms, from using foul language to abusing certain liberties. AVH was founded with the intention of creating a place where people can enjoy themselves and we intend to keep it that way.
